Micromeria fruticosa |
| Also known as Melissa fruticosa & Satureja fruticosa. Popular in the Middle East where it grows in rocky outcrops. In the wild it is rare and possibly endangered and is being propagated for culinary use by greenhouses. Used primarily as a tea plant, it has a minty-marjoram like flavor and aroma that is fresh and invigorating. Small white flowers generally don't appear until the second year. Blooms March through September. Can be grown in gardens or containers. Bring indoors for winter as it is not hardy in Michigan.

Compact Oregano |
| Origanum vulgare 'Compacta' has wonderful fragrance and flavor in a much smaller plant. Making this an excellent choice for your containers or smaller gardens. It has pink-purple flowers similar to common oregano. |

Rosemary 'Blue Lagoon' |
| Rosmarinus officinalis 'Blue Lagoon' has arching, prostrate branches with narrow, dark green leaves. Flowers are deep blue. Excellent for culinary use. A beautiful Rosemary for your containers. Bring indoors, or even better, winter in a cold frame. Rosemary is generally not hardy in Michigan. |

Yerba Buena |
| Satureja douglasii or Micromeria chamissonis, sometimes called 'Indian Mint', has nice, minty-scented, rounded green leaves. Used in tea. It is a creeping perennial that loves the shade to part shade areas of woodlands. Hardy only to zone 7 it is native in California and the Southwest and in south British Columbia. It will grow beautifully as a house plant and in hanging baskets. |

Orange Thyme |
| Thymus citriodorus fragrantisimus 'Orange' has a strong orange citrus aroma and flavor. Great use in vegetables, chutneys, soups, stews and with fish. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Hardy to zone 5. Grows 8 to 12 inches high. |
